The need for gender equality and the importance of female political participation in today’s ever-changing world. These are the two topic being explored tonight [thurs] by Dr. Alaa Murabit. The physician is one of 17 Global Sustainable Development Goal Advocates appointed by the UN Secretary General. Murabit is a champion of women’s participation in peace processes and conflict mediation. She is speaking at the University of Saskatchewan’s Quance Theatre tonight. It starts at seven o’clock.
