Trying to drag an ATM out of a well known building just before morning rush hour may have not been one pair of thieves’ best ideas. It was just before 7 this morning (Tues) that Regina Police were dispatched to the Conexus Art Centre about a theft in progress. It’s alleged a man and woman were trying to steal an ATM machine from inside. When officers arrived, they found a long chain around the ATM that led outside. Police say the suspects were trying to pull the ATM outside using a vehicle, but it didn’t work and instead caused damage to the building and the ATM. The suspects took off with no cash taken.
The man is described as between 40 and 50 years old, about 6 feet tall, and a light complexion. The woman is described as 25 to 30 years old with a dark complexion and long hair. Anyone with information is asked to call the Regina Police Service or Crime Stoppers.
