The University of Saskatchewan is preparing its strategic framework to the year 2025. Tony Vannelli, provost and vice-president academic says, they are in their final round of broad consultations and will then prepare the document for approval by the university’s governing bodies. The process began in January 0f 2017, inspired by the principles of Connectivity, Sustainability, Diversity, and Creativity. The lofty goal, according to the preamble to the plan is, “To position the University of Saskatchewan as the university the world needs.” The plan is heavy on generalities, such as: “Empower a daring culture of innovation,” while being short on the specifics of how to do that, and how to measure success.
