Deputy Premier Gordon Wyant and Trade and Export Development Minister Jeremy Harrison are heading to Israel for a week-long trade mission. They will be meeting with senior government officials, private industry, and a number of academics and research organizations. Wyant says they want to showcase our agriculture sector, business environment, mineral industry and more. The delegation hopes to, among other things, identify trade opportunities, and encourage Israeli agriculture technology companies to establish a presence here. In 2017, Saskatchewan exported more than $19 million in goods to Israel. Exports have grown by over 30 per cent in the last five years. Lentils, chickpeas, canola seeds, peas and beans are our top exports to Israel.
