Chris Jones isn’t taking any chances.
The Saskatchewan Roughriders G-M and head coach said receiver Naaman Roosevelt won’t play Sunday afternoon in Montreal. He wouldn’t confirm it was a knee problem, but was adamant it wasn’t concussion-relate. Jones said Roosevelt took a hit in Saturday’s 30-29 win over Toronto and is being held out for precautionary reasons. Veteran C-F-L receiver Kenny Shaw is expected to take Roosevelt’s spot on the roster with Jones adding that Caleb Holley is still not ready to return from an injury he sustained in the first half of the season. Naturally, the Green and White made some roster moves before they hit the field Wednesday…adding four players to the practice roster. Those names are listed below in a news release from the Riders…
