The Health Innovation Summit in Regina will bring together health care professionals, provincial government ministers, patient advisors and technical experts.
The President of the Saskatchewan Union of Nurses feels it’s a chance to think of ways to improve the patient experience through innovation.
Tracy Zambory pointed out how nurses and health administrators approach a problem is different than a technical expert. She believes it’s advantageous to have them solve issues together.
Zambory says nurses will be the facilitators and stresses the summit is timely during the early days of the newly amalgamated Saskatchewan Health Authority.
The Summit is being held from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Queensbury Convention Centre.
