The president of the University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union is stepping down.
A note from the USSU on its Facebook page, says Coden Nikbakht has resigned due to personal reasons.
The vice-president of operations and finance has assumed the role of president until a by-election can be held.
On the day of the election in March, allegations came forward on Facebook about the incoming presidential candidate.
Nikbakht, who was the lone candidate for the position, said at the time he was “extremely appalled and bewildered” by the allegations.
Nothing has been proven in court.
