If you are up in the Shellbrook area and hear about an attempted child abduction on Saturday, it was false. RCMP say an 11 year old girl was involved and it allegedly happened at a business in Shellbrook. A 61 year old man in town was identified as a suspect. When surveillance video was reviewed it was determined that the man wasn’t in the business and the incident never occurred. The girl has since confirmed this. The RCMP decided to advise the public of the situation due to information circulating on social media.
