RCMP Officer Faces Assault Charge

Saskatchewan RCMP say the federal police force has suspended and charged a Stony Rapids member after investigating a complaint filed in connection to an incident in a home in Black Lake last Friday.

Brendin Feere, a constable with less than two years service with the RCMP, was charged with Assault, Forcible Confinement, and Overcoming Resistance to Commission of Offence.

Brendin Feere was suspended from duty on Saturday and an RCMP code of conduct investigation has been ordered.

Feere will make his first court appearance in Black Lake on September 19th.
