Assaulting a peace officer with a weapon, flight from police, vehicle theft, possession of property obtained by crime, impaired driving and possession of marijuana are among the charges for a 38 year old man wanted by the Wilkie RCMP.
Late Monday afternoon, the Wilkie Detachment received a complaint about a suspicious vehicle on a farm.
Officers realized the plates didn’t match the vehicle, and both were registered as stolen.
RCMP say officers approached the vehicle and told the man he was under arrest, but he put the truck into reverse, struck a play structure backed into some bushes and then drove toward one of the officers.
He drove through the bush and into a field.
Officers patrolled the area and noticed a different truck being driven erratically and the abandoned truck from the first incident.
There was a short pursuit before it was called off.
Sean Schille is facing numerous charges in connection to this investigation.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the police.
