The Federal Government has delivered to the provincial government the first of two installments for this fiscal year, of the federal Gas Tax Fund, worth more than $30 million. The fund is a long-term indexed source of funding that supports local infrastructure projects across the province. 749 communities will be benefiting from the money on a per capita basis. The largest allotment of just under $14 million goes to Saskatoon, Regina gets just over $12 million, Prince Albert about $2.2 million, and Moose Jaw gets just under $2.1 million.
