Saskatoon Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened early Thursday morning. Shortly after 4, police responded to a report of a man who entered a convenience store in the 10 block of Assiniboine Drive with a hammer.
The man then demanded cash and cigarettes and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarettes.
The employee was not injured in the incident.
The suspect is described as Indigenous, wearing a grey sweater with a red front pocket and red hood with the number 18 on the front chest, dark jeans and carrying a black backpack.
The suspect was also wearing a bandana.
Police are continuing to investigate and anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
