According to survey data from Statistics Canada, nationally, close to 16 per cent of Canadians report using cannabis in the past three months. Usage is considerably higher, so to speak, in Iqaluit at 33 per cent. But Saskatchewan is at the low end with only 10 per cent of people surveyed here reporting having used in the past three months. Stats Canada also notes that while second quarter usage appeared to rise from the first quarter in Ontario, it looks like it fell in our province. And, when it comes to smoking and driving, about five per cent of Canadians reported being a passenger in a vehicle being driven by someone who had used cannabis within two hours of getting behind the wheel. But in Saskatchewan, that drops to three per cent.
