SaskTel has released its 2017/18 Corporate Social Responsibility report which it says, reinforces its commitment to being an ethical, active, and engaged member of the communities it serves. The company says in the last fiscal year, SaskTel spent over $300 million in capital expenditures to expand and improve the speeds of its networks and enhance its ability to deliver services. In that year the company says it also contributed more than $3 million to nearly 1,000 non-profit and charitable organizations, community associations, venues, events and partnerships in more than 200 communities across the province. In addition, since the launch of the “I am Stronger,” initiative, the company has awarded nearly $52 thousand in grants to youth in communities across Saskatchewan, allowing them to implement their own bulling prevention initiatives.
