Two men at a residence in Ile a la Crosse say they were assaulted by two people armed with what were believed to be machetes. RCMP say it happened around three o’clock in the morning on Saturday. One of the victims was taken to hospital with undetermined injuries and has since been released. Officers were able to identify and arrest two suspects. A 17 year old boy, formerly from Toronto, faces eight charges including Aggravated Assault and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm. And 21 year old Abdi Rihman Hussein of Edmonton faces 10 charges including Aggravated Assault and two counts of Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose. They are both to appear in Provincial Court today (tues).
