Sunday morning around 1, Regina Police were called to the 1000 block of Retallack Street for a report of an injured person.
Both police and EMS arrived and found a 36 year old man with injuries consistent with an assault of a weapon.
The man was then sent to hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Police are continuing to investigate and anyone with information is asked to contact Regina Police or Crime Stoppers.
