A pair of Canadian Fast-Pitch Softball Championships are underway…with Saskatoon teams involved.

The Saskatoon Selects are 0-2 at the Under-16 Boys in Innerkip, Ontario following losses of 9-1 to Shallow Lake, Ontario and 7-0 to Napanee, Ontario. They play Tavistock, Ontario and Quebec Thursday.

Elsewhere, the national Under-23 men are finished two days of action in St. Leonard, Quebec. The Saskatoon Junior Diamondbacks edged Tavistock, Ontario 2-1 yesterday to improve to 2-1…tied for third place. The Diamondbacks face Owen Sound, Ontario Thursday morning and Newfoundland later in the day.
