Anyone with information about a stabbing and shooting that happened a short time and short distance apart from each other, is asked to contact Saskatoon Police or Crime Stoppers. Saskatoon Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred just before midnight Friday and a shooting just after midnight Saturday morning. A 36 year old man arrived at St. Paul’s Hospital suffering from a stab wound to the back. Police believe the man was a was a victim of an attempted robbery near 20th Street and Avenue L South where unidentified suspect or suspects attempted to steal his bike. And a 29 year old man was in serious but stable condition after being shot in the back. Police say the shooting happened in the 100 to 200 block of Avenue I south.
