Saturday evening around 7:30, Saskatoon RCMP received multiple calls about a dangerous and erratic driver on Highway 11 near Bladworth.
The vehicle was heading north towards the city at speeds of 140 to 170 kilometers per hour.
The vehicle was also passing on the right and entering the ditch.
Saskatoon RCMP along with Saskatoon Police and Corman Park Police attempted to stop the vehicle.
A spike belt was used near Circle Drive and Highway 11.
A 24 year old man was taken into custody and has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, impaired driving, resisting arrest, refusing to take a breath test and assaulting a police officer.
