The Premier says government officials are not planning another meeting with protesters camped out in teepees at the Legislature.
Scott Moe indicates the government will soon be addressing the concerns raised by protesters during their July 2nd meeting and takes exception to suggestions the fact they’re still around and the emergence of a teepee in Saskatoon’s Victoria Park are the result of government inaction.
Moe points to seventeen child and family service agreements with first-nations as proof they have and will continue to work with the Indigenous community, including an upcoming response to concerns raised by the protesters during a July 2nd meeting.
Moe admits more needs to be done on child and family issues in Indigenous and other communities across the province. Chris Martell says the teepee in Saskatoon’s Victoria Park went up after a positive experience with Regina protesters following a difficult year over issues involving the death of his son while in foster care.
