Tuesday was a day riddled with heat, thunderstorm and tornado warnings around Saskatchewan and this morning Environment Canada confirms four tornadoes touch down Tuesday. Meteorologist Shannon Moodie says the first two touched down near Golden Prairie and Val Marie, and later on two more were reported near Wood Mountain.

She notes the tornadoes near Wood Mountain appeared to have been larger in size but they have not yet received a damage report on any of the four touchdowns, meaning all are currently rated as F-zero’s. Environment Canada says also confirms two tornadoes touched down Monday; North of Swift Current and West of Moose Jaw near Chaplin.

A storm also went through Mankota where the auto station in the region recorded a 122 kilometre-per-hour wind gust.  Meanwhile, a torrential downpour resulted in streets being flooded in Swift Current, with catch basins unable to deal with the sudden and large volume of rain.  Kindersley was hit with full force weather rumbling through Saskatchewan yesterday.
