Average retail gasoline prices in Saskatoon have fallen 4.3 c/L in the past week, averaging 168.88 c/L on Sunday, according to GasBuddy.com.
This compares with the national average that has fallen 4.1 c/L in the last week to 172.88 c/L.
This is high but compared to diesel it looks like a walk in the park. The national average price of diesel has increased 3.0c/L compared to a week ago and stands at 258.3c/L.
Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy says, “Average gasoline prices declined across every province over the last week, offering Canadians a broad-based reprieve at the pump, while diesel told a different story with nearly all provinces seeing prices rise.”
He added that geopolitical developments remaining the key variable for where prices head next, and Canadians should expect the outlook to remain unsettled in the weeks ahead.
