The Saskatoon Fire Department says a house fire in the 300 Block of Ave E North has been brought under control.

Crews were called out at 4:40 a.m. and first arriving firefighters reported a fully involved two-storey home.

The fire was brought under control within 48 minutes and while an occupant of the home managed to get out safely, a dog is unaccounted for.

Fire crews and a fire investigator remain on scene, and Saskatoon Police are gathering eyewitness reports.
