Nik Nanos, Chief Data Scientist with Nanos Research Corporation says Prime Minister Mark Carney has reached a new high as Canadians’ preferred choice for prime minister, while the Liberals continue to lead federal voting intentions.
The latest Nanos federal ballot tracking has the Liberals at 49.9 per cent, the Conservatives at 27.9 the NDP at 11.0 per cent. Meanwhile, Nanos tracking has Mark Carney as the preferred choice as Prime Minister at 61.5 per cent of Canadians followed by Pierre Poilievre at19.6 per cent. Elizabeth May of the Green Party and Avi Lewis with the NDP are tied for third at 3.1 per cent.
Nanos polling also indicates Canadians continue to focus on relations with Donald Trump and the United States, the economy and living costs as their principal national concerns. The latest results point to new long-term highs for the Liberals and their leader.
