A 24-year-old man who was wanted for evading police has been arrested.
On September 5, the provincial RCMP’s Meadow Lake Crime Reduction Team was in Meadow Lake when they saw a vehicle driving erratically at a high rate of speed.
After an unsuccessful traffic stop, the vehicle was found parked in Meadow Lake, abandoned. Police dogs led officers to a house on 4th Street West where they arrested Brandon McCallum.
He faces three additional charges, but was also arrested on a warrant for an August 24 assault on Canoe Lake Cree First Nation.
Brandon McCallum is scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court on Tuesday.
