A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a break and enter at a hotel on Wednesday.

At 1:43 a.m. police were called to a hotel in the 300 block of 38th Street West where an RCMP member reported a firearm and other police equipment had been stolen from a room.

A male suspect was identified, and he was found at a home in the 900 block of 2nd Street East. Specialized resources were called to assist with the surround-and-call-out.

Adults and children safely exited the home, and a A 30-year-old male surrendered to police and was taken into custody without incident. He will make his first court appearance on Friday.

Earlier this same day, the Saskatchewan RCMP arrested a 42-year-old male in relation to the same incident. He made his first court appearance on Thursday.

A search of the hotel area by both Prince Albert Police Service and RCMP members have led to the recovery of many of the stolen items. Police are working to identify additional suspects and recover any remaining police equipment.
