The Saskatchewan Health Authority says the province is now home to two of four StarGuide scanners in Western Canada.

A news release from the SHA says this state-of-the-art technology allows for sharper, more detailed images, giving radiologists more accurate and reliable results to support clinical diagnosis.

The tech was first bought into the province in 2025 at the Regina General Hospital, and the second machine was added at Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon in 2026.

Since then, teams have completed 2,856 exams for 1,634 patients using this new technology.
