The Saskatchewan Government recognized long-time crop reporters during a ceremony at Ag in Motion last month.
The weekly crop report is a trusted source of information about how the crop is progressing. The data is gathered by more than 200 volunteer crop reporters across the province and is released on Thursday mornings during the growing season.
It is quoted extensively by media and is also monitored by market analysts and international grain, oilseed and pulse crop buyers.

The interview was done at Ag in Motion, which was the start of warmer and drier the normal conditions. These were his observations about the crop in the Leader area on July 21st.
