The Saskatchewan government is reminding residents and building owners to check their carbon monoxide alarms.

Under Henry’s Law, every residential unit in a multi-unit building must have a working alarm by November 1.

Faulty furnaces, water heaters and other fuel-burning appliances can produce dangerous carbon monoxide without warning.

Alarms should be tested and replaced according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The province recommends replacing any alarm when its age is unknown.
