A decades-old Metis land claim could soon return to court.
Metis Nation-Saskatchewan plans to seek an end to a stay of proceedings that has been in place since 2005.
The Northwest Land Claim argues the federal government’s historic scrip system failed Metis people and stripped families of land rights.
The case was originally launched in 1994 and names both the federal and provincial governments.
