Saskatchewan RCMP’s Homicide Investigation Unit has charged a 47-year-old woman with second-degree murder in connection to a homicide in Green Lake.

Tuesday at approximately 10:35 p.m., Meadow Lake and Green Lake RCMP received a report of an injured male in Green Lake.

Officers located a man outside a business on McIntosh Avenue. EMS declared him deceased at the scene. He has been identified as 46-year-old Michael Lafond from Green Lake. Officers arrested a woman in connection to the investigation in the community.

Forty-seven-year-old Angela Kusnezoff from Green Lake is charged with one count, second-degree murder and was scheduled to appear in Meadow Lake Provincial Court Thursday.

RCMP had issued an advisory overnight Tuesday indicating an increased police presence in the community due to an ongoing investigation.
