Around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Saskatoon Police responded to a robbery in progress in the 600 block of Spadina Crescent.

A male victim told officers he had been sitting on a park bench when he was approached by an unknown man who demanded his phone and threatened him with a hatchet. The victim was able to flee and call police.

Upon arrival officers were able to locate the suspect and a 33-year-old man is now facing charges of Robbery and Breach of Court Conditions.
