The Prince Albert Police Service says on Monday shortly before 12:30 p.m. officers responded to a report of a person being hit by a vehicle. This was in the 700 block of 32nd Street East.
Two 18-year-old males were located with injuries. One sustained what are believed to be serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle. The second was affected by bear spray and also sustained injuries during the incident. Both were transported to hospital for treatment.
The investigation has determined that a group of teenagers and young adults had gathered in the parking lot with several vehicles present. During the incident, occupants of one vehicle were bear sprayed, resulting in a fight between multiple individuals. While the altercation was ongoing, an 18-year-old male intentionally drove a vehicle into another vehicle before striking the two victims, who were standing in the parking lot.
Charges are anticipated, and police are actively seeking the 18-year-old male. Anyone with information is asked to contact Prince Albert Police or Crime Stoppers.
