Saskatoon Police have arrested a man and a woman following a robbery and assault over the weekend.
At 8:00 a.m. on Friday, two men and two women were travelling together in a Chevrolet Cruze when the driver was told to pull over by the backseat occupants.
Police say the 34-year-old woman then reportedly hit the male, front passenger with a hammer. Several items, including the vehicle, were then stolen from the 43-year-old woman and 36-year-old man.
The vehicle was found a short time later in the 2400 block of MacPherson Avenue.
The 34-year-old woman was arrested at the scene along with the 26-year-old man. They are facing charges including; Robbery, Possession of Stolen Property and Breach of Probation.
