Two teenagers have been charged following a stabbing in the Kensington neighborhood.
On Saturday at 11:55 p.m., police were called to the 200 block of Ells Crescent for a report of a stabbing.
Officers arrived to find a 17-year-old boy with non-life-threatening injuries. He was taken to hospital by paramedics.
The suspect was an 18-year-old woman who was arrested on scene without further incident. While at SPS detention, officers learned she had a stab wound. She was taken to hospital, as well.
Through investigation, officers say the learned that another woman at the scene attempted to intervene in the initial altercation when a separate male at the home assaulted her. The male was arrested without further incident and charged with Assault and Assault by Choking. The 18-year-old woman has been charged with Aggravated Assault.
All involved individuals are believed to be known to one another.
