There’s good news and some interesting delay news when it comes to a pair of closely-connected traffic projects in Saskatoon.
In a news release, the City says the University Bridge and College Drive at Clarence Avenue is trending towards re-opening during the week of June 29th. That would mean two-way traffic, with one lane in each direction only. That’s the good news. The interesting stuff is the work nearby on College Drive, as part of the Link project, has experienced early-stage delays due to weather, utility relocations and the unexpected discovery and removal of legacy underground infrastructure, including former building foundations, basements and historic trolley rails within the roadway. The City adds that the College Drive work is proceeding on budget. Drivers are asked to follow posted detours and use caution when traveling near construction zones.
