This is Vanese Ferguson with Coffee Talk. So, back after vacation I am grateful to afford the ability to travel. We went to the east coast and saw family. My in laws are in Nova Scotia although while everyone back here was baking in a heat wave, we were emeshed in an east coast late spring gloom. Halifax was pouring, and I mean pouring rain, with wind. The kind of rain where you need a rain slicker with the hood up because an umbrella is not getting it done. Then off to Cape Breton – we had a big barbeque with family – only maybe 12 degrees but the sun tried to break out a few times and we left Cape Breton headed for PEI when Sydney – where we were the day before – got hit with snow. And not melting. Like WTH man. The crazy weather is just that and it is everywhere in Canada. My husband and I were reminiscing about some of our worst memories travelling as in bad behavior by fellow passenger and while excruciatingly memorable, it was far outweighed by all the smooth and problem free flights we’ve enjoyed over the years. I don’t have any complaints about the air travel this time round other than of couple of folks on the various planes with bare feet in flip flops. It just really grosses me out. Like even put on socks with a pair of sliders if the need to wear sandals of some extraction on a plane is your thing. But I am glad to be home, now because we were just coming off the last round of terrible weather here – I have to get my yard in shape. I missed my pets, my house, my routine, even – granted due to the rosy afterglow of vacation – my fellow motorists in Saskatoon. Here’s hoping that the worst of the weird weather is on hold until fall and we can all get on with enjoying summer to the fullest.
