An individual has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision near Biggar, Wednesday.
At 1:10 p.m., Biggar RCMP received a notification of a collision at the intersection of Highway #4 and Highway #14.
Officers, local fire, EMS, and the STARS Air Ambulance responded. Investigation determined that two SUVs had collided, and as a result of the initial collision, the second SUV collided into the Esso gas station building.
Photos and witness accounts indicate the vehicle caused substantial structural damage to part of the gas station building. The SUV involved in the incident had its door removed to extract the victim from the wreck. Both drivers were taken to hospital.
