Two Saskatoon MLA’s spoke to the media saying they are concerned about the Saskatchewan Prosperity Project, which has been holding meetings in rural areas for months.
Saskatoon-Silverspring MLA Hugh Gordon says Moe’s silence is “speaking volumes”. Saskatoon-Riversdale MLA Kim Breckner says even the threat of separatism can have negative impacts on Saskatchewan’s economy.
The Saskatchewan Prosperity Project says recent developments in Alberta, including an October 19th referendum, are providing “momentum.”
Premier Moe spoke to reporters at the Western Premier’s Conference in Kananaskis, Alberta on Monday. He did not address the Saskatchewan Prosperity Project, but said his position on the Alberta referendum aligns with his Alberta counterpart. Premier Danielle Smith says she is against Alberta leaving Confederation.
