Saskatchewan RCMP reported an increased police presence on the 300 block of 2nd Avenue East in Melville yesterday as officers carried out an ongoing investigation.

Police asked the public to avoid the area and follow directions from officers at the scene while the investigation was underway.

RCMP said updates would be provided as more information became available and noted the public would be notified if there was any immediate risk to safety.
