It has been over 30 years since the Saskatchewan Roughriders last played an exhibition game in Saskatoon, but that will no longer be the case come tomorrow afternoon. Or perhaps today, depending on when you’re reading this article!
The final practice was held yesterday and walk-thru was held at Griffiths Stadium slowly wrapping up the Saskatoon portion of Roughriders training camp. While walk-thru was being held, preparations were well underway to turn Griffiths Stadium into Riderville for tomorrow’s clash against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. The fences were in place for Party in the Park, the main entrance had “Destination Bridge City” banners hung up, and the fence line surrounding the field had been strung with Green and White signage. And that doesn’t even come close to what still needs to be done or what the media didn’t see on the tour they received earlier this morning.
