Saskatoon Police Service responded to a woman who was stabbed in the city’s Pleasant Hill neighbourhood overnight.
Around 12:55 a.m. police received an injured person report from the 100 block of Avenue M South.
A 20-year-old woman with non-life-threatening injuries was transported to hospital by paramedics.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
Meanwhile, downtown near 23rd Street and Ontario Avenue late afternoon Monday, police responded to a weapons complaint.
The call came in around 5:35 p.m. when it was reported a woman had brandished a knife.
Police say the suspect tried to flee from officers but was eventually detained for a weapons investigation. In a news release police say officers located a folding knife on her person and upon a further search also located methamphetamine.
The 39-year-old woman has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possession of methamphetamine, and breach of an undertaking.
