The Saskatoon Police Service says charges have been laid in connection to that fiery crash on north Idylwyld Tuesday morning.
Two males, age 14 and 24, are charged with Possession of Stolen Property over $5,000.
The 14-year-old faces additional charges of Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm, Failure to Stop After Accident, and Evade Police. The 24-year-old is also charged with breaching court-imposed conditions. A third person was arrested but not charged in connection to this incident.
A stolen vehicle, driving erratically as it made its way into Saskatoon Tuesday morning ended up in a collision with a van that caught fire. The vehicle, stolen out of Prince Albert, fled into Saskatoon on Highway 11 during the morning commute. Saskatoon Police responded after Corman Park Police notified them that the vehicle had come into the city crossed a median and driven into northbound traffic hitting the van.
The accident is under investigation by the Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response team. The 82-year-old man who was in the van remains in hospital.
