The Saskatoon Police Service Victim Services Unit is hosting an Information Fair for Red Dress Day at the Cosmo Civic Centre.
The fair will focus on prevention through active bystander training facilitated by the Mennonite Central Committee, feature community organizations and include a button making activity for youth in partnership with Remai Modern.
The fair will also include an address from Beverly Fullerton, who will share her story of generational trauma, addiction, and gang life, and how she broke that cycle, forging a new path for herself and her family.
Then later in the day, participants will gather in front of the Saskatoon Police Service Headquarters for a Red Dress Day Walk guided by knowledge keepers, traditional drumming, and smudging to begin the walk in a good way. The walk will take approximately one hour.
