The Ministry of Corrections, Policing and Public Safety is reporting that an inmate has been released from custody in error.

Thirty-five-year-old Wilbur Young has been reported unlawfully at large after he was released from custody on April 23rd.

The Ministry says it was an administrative error following his sentencing.

Young was remanded on November 20, 2025, and was subsequently given a 32-day custodial sentence for assault.

Wilbur Young has connections to Red Earth First Nation. Anyone who has information on his whereabouts is asked to contact your local police service or Crime Stoppers.
