The Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team (CRT) concluded a drug trafficking investigation with the arrest of three individuals.
In March, CRT officers got information about a person believed to be trafficking cocaine from a residence on Valleyview Road. CRT got a search warrant and arrested the suspect at the door. They then entered the residence and arrested a woman and a second man who was attempting to evade police. Officers located a loaded Glock 48 handgun in close proximity to where he had been apprehended.
As a result of the search, officers seized 141 grams of cocaine, 1.6 grams of methamphetamine, 11 grams of cannabis concentrate (shatter), $910 Canadian currency, three cell phones, Digital scales, a Money counter, Additional magazine for a Glock 48 handgun and Assorted ammunition Further investigation revealed the firearm had been reported stolen from a business in Alberta in 2020.
24-year-old Coleton Brown, 31-year-old Cassandra Bear, and 22-year-old Tiem Deng, are each charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of proceeds obtained by crime, and multiple firearms-related offences. Brown and Bear are also charged with breaching court-ordered conditions. All three accused appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on April 10th.
