One person perished in a structure fire Wednesday morning in Prince Albert.
According to a news release from the Prince Albert Police Service, officers and members of the Prince Albert Fire Department were called to a fire at a residence in the 100 block of 18th Street East at about 7:42 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Once the fire was extinguished, the victim was located and removed from the residence but was declared deceased at the scene. The PAPS Major Crimes Unit and Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service is continuing to investigate this incident. Road restrictions in the area are no longer in place and the scene has been released.
