The City of Saskatoon is reminding drivers to slow down during expressway maintenance. Crews began ongoing cycles of mowing and litter cleanup along expressways on Wednesday.
People are asked to slow down when driving by work zones for the safety of the crews working adjacent to the expressway. Drivers are reminded to maintain a safe following distance and obey all posted signage.
They are also reminded to secure their cargo while driving as unsecured cargo is the main source of expressway litter. Drivers can be subject to ticketing as per Waste Bylaw 8310.
The Circle Drive/Expressway Mowing Program will run until October 31st. The roadways included within this program are main artery highways going to and from Saskatoon, Expressways and Circle Drive.
