Beginning next school year, Saskatchewan school divisions will have the opportunity to provide students with livesaving skills through a CPR education initiative.
The Ministry of Education and the Heart and Stroke Foundation have partnered to launch the program that will provide school divisions with the resources to introduce CardiacCrash in the province’s classrooms.
Heart and Stroke will provide teacher training and learning materials for the program at no cost school divisions that choose to participate.
One school division in Saskatchewan already offers the CardiacCrash program and planning is underway to support the program’s implementation for the 2026-27 school year.
