The Correctional Service of Canada issued a news release today (wednesday) indicating contraband and drugs were among the items seized at Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert last Saturday.
CSC says thank to vigilance of staff members methamphetamine, THC concentrate, a lighter, rolling papers and smartphone accessories were seized. The estimated value of the seizure, within the institution, is $139,100.
Some of the tools used to prevent drugs from getting inside institutions includes ion scanners and drug detector dogs used to search buildings, personal property, inmates and visitors.
